Eli was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in English Literature and received a law degree from the University of Montana School of Law. Before law school, Eli worked for the family business, Eli & Associates (he was named after the business, not the other way around), land surveying and drafting. During law school, Eli interned at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson and completed his clinical internship with the Missoula City Attorney’s Office. He also served on the Montana Law Review and competed on the law school’s National Moot Court Team. Eli worked as a law clerk to Chief Judge Dana L. Christensen of the United States District Court for the District of Montana before joining Garlington, Lohn & Robinson.
In his leisure, Eli amuses himself by skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and spending time in Montana’s mountains and streams with his wife, Rachel. Eli is also an Outdoor Emergency Technician and volunteers as a ski patroller at Missoula’s best ski resort: Montana Snowbowl.
