Marti A. Liechty

Overview

Marti earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Montana School of Law, along with a Master of Business Administration. She held leadership roles in numerous student organizations during law school, most notably as President and Regional Director of Montana’s Federalist Society (Student Division).  She also served as Online Editor for the Montana Law Review.  She completed her clinical program with the University of Montana’s Office of Legal Counsel, and subsequently received the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award.  She also obtained significant experience in private practice by working as a legal intern at two regional civil litigation firms.

Marti was born and raised in Missoula, Montana.  She graduated from the University of Montana’s Davidson Honors College with bachelor degrees in Journalism and Political Science.  In college, Marti volunteered with the Montana Innocence Project.  Since 2018 she has also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, assisting children and youth in abuse and neglect cases.

At Garlington Lohn and Robinson, Marti assists in a wide variety of litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters.  A particular goal of hers is to build a practice focusing on entertainment and sports law.

Outside of work, Marti enjoys learning about oenology and mass “popular” culture.
