Scott advises clients on estate planning, probate, business, tax and real estate transactional matters.
Scott assists clients in the creation and maintenance of estate plans including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, living wills, beneficiary deeds, probate avoidance and general assistance in the estate administration process. He’s developed a niche in succession planning for family cabins, ranches, farms and businesses.
Scott also works with clients to assist them with business planning and structuring, including entity formation, preparation of internal governing documents, partnership and corporate tax planning, Limited Liability Companies (LLC’s), buy-sell agreements, asset sales, stock sales, mergers, liquidation, other general business transactions and tax consulting.
Scott is a native of Missoula, Montana who loves to fly fish, be in the outdoors and spend time with his wife and three sons. Scott attended law school at the University of Montana School of Law. Following law school, Scott earned his Master’s Degree in Tax Law (LL.M) from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Prior to law school, Scott attended Montana State University where he graduated with honors earning a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in entrepreneurship and small business management.
